Holistic Horse Bodyworks saddle fitting services have been offered based on an independent fitter model for many years. This means we do not sell any brand of saddle, but rather recommend whatever brand of saddle, pad and shim (if needed) combination is best for you, your horse and your budget....and we help you find it if desired!
In early 2014, we decided to offer two English, one Western and one Endurance saddle for sale. The decision to offer saddles for sale was not made lightly. We feel this will enhance our client's ability to ultimately select the best saddle for their horse and themselves as they will have a saddle to try. However, unlike most other saddle sellers, we remain 100% committed to providing other saddle brand recommendations and fittings. The independent aspect of our saddle fitting service offering remains unchanged!! This mix of continuing to offer our independent fitting services while also having two English, one Western and one Endurance saddle on hand for purchase (if appropriate) offers the ideal situation for our clients, both 2 and 4 legged.
Ilene Nessenson is a veterinarian-trained saddle fitter. Ilene was fortunate to receive her initial saddle fitting training from Dr. Kerry Ridgway, a world-famous veterinarian and saddle fitting expert, through the Equinology School. Ilene also works with Tom Clark, the owner of Skito Saddle Pads. Tom has been manufacturing high quality saddle pads and fitting saddles for more than 30 years.
